505 Games has announced the release of Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) update v1.8 for the PC. The update is rather substantial, PC enthusiasts, the most significant change is probably the possible framerate gain provided by the combination of Nvidia DLSS 2.0 and AMD FSR technology.

ACC has been upgraded to Unreal Engine version 4.26.2, according to the patch notes. This adjustment may have something to do with the game's unexpected ability to play nicely with the green and red teams' superior scaling technology. Earlier this week, in Wednesday's edition of The Roundup, Club386 announced the availability of an Unreal Engine plugin for AMD FSR (though we are sure 505 Games would have early access to such tools).

Gamers are advised not to replace the Nvidia DLSS.DLL file with a "newer" version, as the developers have created their own version of the DLSS. On the subject of enhanced graphics, 505 Games has also included support for the Temporal Antialiasing Gen5 option. According to the release notes, this "improves aliasing and clarity at a slight performance penalty." Gen5 antialiasing is an optional feature in comparison to the previous TAAgen4 and KTAA implementations.
