ASRock Z490 AQUA Helps Set Four 10th Gen Core Records

The cutting edge performance and design of Z490 AQUA push Intel 10th Gen Core CPU to 4 global first place benchmark results. The well-known overclocker, Splave achieves four Global First Places with Z490 AQUA and Intel Core i9-10900KF CPU.

Taiwan, May 22nd, 2020 – Being the latest flagship and limited motherboard, the Z490 AQUA has been pleased all gamers and PC enthusiasts since its announcement. The cutting edge performance and design of Z490 AQUA push Intel 10th Gen Core CPU to 4 global first place benchmark results. The well-known overclocker, Splave achieves four Global First Places with Z490 AQUA and Intel® Core™ i9-10900KF CPU.

Our platform completed the wPrime 1024M benchmark in 35.562 seconds, which wins the Global First Place. On the GPUPI for CPU benchmark, best record is one minute and 25.015 seconds, made by using Z490 AQUA with Intel Core i9-10900KF. In conjunction with Intel Core i9-10900KF with the ASRock Z490 AQUA, Splave creates a new record of 42.17 points on CINEBENCH-R11.5 and wins the Global First Place. Winning a total of 4 Global First Place is not an easy task. Thanks and congratulations to Splave, he has managed extremely well to overclock i9-10900KF on Z490 AQUA. These achievements are attributed by the hard work and ASRock’s key esprit - pursuing innovation. The Z490 AQUA is no doubt the right choice for PC enthusiasts.

Of course, it only will cost you just over 1000 USD, and that motherboard is yours :-)

maybe a scoop for you Hilbert ? it looks fake

I'm currently studying the Z490 motherboards for a potential 10xxx build and immediately noticed something
the HWbot submissions have pictures
wprime https://hwbot.org/submission/4447773-splave-wprime---1024m-core-i9-10900kf-35sec-562ms
gpupi https://hwbot.org/submission/4447775-splave-gpupi-for-cpu---1b-core-i9-10900kf-1min-25sec-15ms
cinebench https://hwbot.org/submission/4447775-splave-gpupi-for-cpu---1b-core-i9-10900kf-1min-25sec-15ms

1) gpupi and cinebench show a 2 slots memory motherboard, aqua has 4
2) wprime shows the same 2 slots motherboard with 2 copy/pasted memory sticks, you can see the shadows and ice on the 2 added dimms are impossibly the same
3) the fact that screenshots are fake make everything else suspicious

it's not my job so that's all I have to say about it, photoshopped pictures on an official submission is all I have to see, next topic !

If you want to buy Z490 an FYI. All motherboards have issues with the Intel Ethernet chip and needs to be capped at 1Gb/s otherwise end of days in latency because of the lost packets.
Intel has said it will fix this with new chip on Z590 (5 months away) and motherboards that would be manufactured after June.
However there is a huge Z490 stock so until this goes, you won't see this fix.

thx for the useful information
EDIT : apparently has been fixed already
"Intel is committed to delivering the highest levels of product quality and has already corrected the issue in the latest production version of the silicon. I225 v2 is already in production. We identified an IEEE spec variance in the Intel Ethernet Controller I225 that results in performance degradation when paired with some 2.5GbE switches and routers. Consumers experiencing this issue should ensure they have the latest software driver and associated firmware installed and can refer to https://www.intel.com/i225v1 for compatible switches and routers to ensure 2.5Gb/s connectivity."

I'm currently using (on two different pcs amd and intel) the Aquantia 10Gb port as I have a 10Gbit network but I'm not surprised that the "new" 2.5Gbit have problems
aquantia AQC107 10gbit (all the integrated 10gbit ethernet and also the "cheap" 10gbit asus NIC) also had several problems at release on Z390 especially for gaming, couldn't connect to other games or horrible 500ms pings, no trouble for regular transfers tough, it has been fixed now after several driver updates (5+ in 2-3 years)

Going above 1Gbit is a whole lot of problems people have no idea about, heat...check the 10Gbit nics they all have heatsinks for a reason, hardware and software bottlenecks everywhere, pretty much screwed with win 10 as on Linux or Win7 I can reach 8000Mbit/s but on Win7 I can't seem to go above 4000/4000 and thats with heavy tweaking not tweaks you get like 1500...anyways if people expect plug and play 2.5Gbit it's not happening

that said if the new chipset is only 5 months away I will definitely wait I probably won't see a 10 series cpu in stock in my country before july so no stress

Special edition engineering board with 2 dimm slots and other modifications that puts it far away from the Aqua board they are falsely marketing for this purpose. Never mind the Aquas $1100 price which cannot achieve this in its standard form. Sickening marketing practices basically puts them in scammer territory.
