Check it out, ASRock is showing their ASRock X99 OC Formula. The motherboard can supply a claimed "1300W" of maximum CPU power, using its 12-phase CPU VRM. Memory is care of a 4-phase VRM. Eight DDR4 DIMM slots can support up to 128 GB of quad-channel DDR4 memory
X99 is developed for the 6 and 8-core DDR4 supporting Haswell-E HEDT platform and is based on socket LGA2011-3.The motherboards based on X99 can support a whopping five PCI-Express 3.0 x16 which can be arranged in these slot configurations, x16/NC/x16/NC/x8, or x16/NC/x8/x8/x8 and yeah, even x8/x8/x8/x8/x8. X99 will bring a whopping 10-port SATA 6 Gb/s storage controller supporting RAID RST and SRT and SSD TRIM on RAID 0 configurations.
It's a lot of yellow though !

Not really, yet again my old ASrock board still runs in my htpc, and they are the only ones that kept the consumer IR header in their designs for years. Not that it happened to make any difference for me so far, it still would have been an option for remote control integration into the pc.
