Among others, ASRock is to release the X470 Taichi series, most of them are a ATX motherboard with an all dark (nice) black design and RGB lighting, definitely a nice aesthetic upgrade from the X370 version.
The photos show four ddr4 memory locks, three PCIe x16 locks (the upper two of which reinforced with metal), two PCIe x1, a proper eight SATA connectors as well as two m.2 slots. The primary m.2 slot is longer (10cm) and shows a heatsink. On mATX there is not too much more over the B*50 ... they OC the same...
and the lack of space make little extra of the X*70 quasi-useless.

That's the thing. uITX board does not have those additional PCI/PCIe ports I need. And ATX is just tiny bit taller for current "smallest" ATX compatible case (raijintek thetis) to be fully relevant.
You either have those USB/front panel/... ports at bottom of MB or you have installed 240mm radiator in case. mATX MB solves this dilemma and still provides enough ports on MB (SLi/CF, soundcard, raid, whatever needed).
