ASRock, the Taiwan-based company, has announced that it will begin selling three new models of the Radeon RX 7900 series graphics card on January 27th, 2023. Among it the liquid cooled version.

The new model, named the Radeon RX 7900 XTX AQUA 24GB OC, are the company's first water-cooled graphics card and feature a unique "AQUA Liquid Cooling System" water block that uses a high-purity nickel-plated copper plate and a jet micro-channel engine. The new graphics card also features a powerful 22-phase power circuit and an addressable RGB LED illumination function with Polychrome Sync support. The main specifications of the card include a game clock of 2,510MHz, boost clock of 2,680MHz, memory speed of 20Gbps, memory bus width of 384bit, and video memory of GDDR6 24GB.

The output interfaces of the card include DisplayPort 2.1 x 3, HDMI 2.1 x 1, an 8-pin x 3-pin auxiliary power connector, and a 1,000 W power supply unit. The card measures 275mm in length, 157mm in width, 22mm in thickness, and weighs 1,450g.  The company's unique water-cooling system and powerful 22-phase power circuit make the Radeon RX 7900 XTX AQUA 24GB OC an ideal choice for gamers and enthusiasts looking for a powerful and reliable graphics card. The addition of an addressable RGB LED illumination function with Polychrome Sync support also adds a new level of customization to the card.

Yeah... that's way too close to a 4090, I really recommend returning it or canceling your order if it hasn't arrived yet.

where are these mythical 4090s for 1449? apples and oranges, water cooled and warrantied vs an air cooled nvidia. Many people do not care for nvidia products too.

There are $1600 models in some places, it depends on where in the world you are. For example where I am these ones have always been available in-store because no one wants that specific model, which is roughly $1680 USD, with the cheapest model (which I'd pick over that Gigabyte one) being about $1637.

As much ire as I have for nVidia, given the choice between a $1449 7900 XTX Aqua, or that cheapest 4090 for $1637, I'd definitely go with the 4090 for $188 more. That's ~13% of the price of the Aqua for much more performance.

And if you're wondering what I bought for myself, I picked this 7900 XTX as it was the only AIB model available to back order (still is). I ordered it a full month ago and there's no sign of it, and every day it takes to arrive is another day where I'm thinking about canceling the order and getting a refund because ALL the prices are utter insanity. I wouldn't have ordered it if my 3080 wasn't worth so much to sell locally.
