It also supports DDR5 memory, which can be overclocked to up to 6400MT/s on the Z690 Taichi. In addition to Wi-Fi 6E, this ATX motherboard includes two USB 4.0 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and two USB 3.0 Type-A connectors. In the entry-level market, ASRock introduces the Z690 Steel Legend, Z690 Extreme, PG Riptide, and Velocita, as well as the Z690 Pro RS, Z690M-ITX, and a number of Phantom Gaming models, including Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX versions. All of these motherboards are compatible with DDR4 memory, while a DDR5 edition of the Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 will also be made available in the near future. The Steel Legend and Extreme are also available in Wi-Fi 6E configurations. Only one Z690 motherboard, the Z690M Phantom Gaming 4, does not support PCIe 5.0, out of the entire line of Z690 motherboards made by ASRock. The gigabit ethernet connector on that same motherboard is the only one it supports. The rest of ASRock's lineup includes PCIe 5.0 x16 slots as well as 2.5Gbit/s Ethernet connectivity. ASRock also includes a GPU holder with certain of its gaming motherboards, which can be bolted into the right side of the motherboard and provide support for large and heavy video cards, among other things.
