ASRock Launches 4X4 BOX 7000/D5 Series with Ryzen 7000U-Series APUs

ASRock launched a new line of mini PCs, the 4X4 BOX 7000/D5 Series, which are powered by AMD Ryzen 7000U-Series APUs with up to 8 Zen 3+ cores.

These mini PCs offer maximum dual DDR5 4800MHz memory of up to 64GB and deliver top-notch performance with higher standards of power, speed, and energy efficiency. With enriched IOs and expansions, the Series offers quad-display outputs of up to 8K graphics and versatile connectivity options with one HDMI 2.1, three DisplayPort 1.4a, and five USB ports, including two USB4 ports.

The 4X4 BOX 7000/D5 Series are available in two options, the 4X4 BOX-7735U/D5 and 4X4 BOX-7535U/D5, both powered by AMD Ryzen 7 7735U and Ryzen 5 7535U respectively. The Series provides effortless multitasking abilities with the first dual-channel DDR5 4800MHz SO-DIMM memory of up to 64GB and next-generation AMD Radeon Graphics. With dual Realtek LAN ports of up to 2.5 Gigabit, one 1 Gigabit with DASH function for remote management, Intel Wi-Fi 6E support, and Bluetooth 5.2, these mini PCs offer reliable real-time communication options. The Series also features two USB4 (Type C), one USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type A), and two USB 2.0 for added connectivity. The 4X4 BOX 7000/D5 Series supports quad-display outputs of up to 8K graphics and features dual storages with one SATA 3.0 and one M.2 Key M (2242/2260/2280) with PCIe Gen4 x4. It also comes with TPM 2.0 onboard for enhanced security support and VESA mounting for easy installation. The compact size of 110.0 x 117.5 x 47.85mm makes it easy to carry around and saves space.

With its new DDR5 4800MHz memory, USB4, up to 8K quad-display, dual LANs of up to 2.5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and dual storage support, the 4X4 BOX 7000/D5 Series mini PCs offer greater energy efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and faster speed in high-end gaming, content creation, office productivity, business, and AIoT applications.

Price: The 4X4 BOX 7000/D5 Series Mini PCs start from approximately $499.99 USD.

I love these mini PCs. I wish I can find one with X3D CPU, 32-64GB of RAM, good range of I/Os and one real PCIE slot for a big GPU. Then hide it behind my OLED screen with wireless KB/M and controller. That's it.

I'd go for a Minisforum UM690 (or wait for the UM790).
Still small, still quiet, similar price, much better performance.
