Videocardz has obtained the specifications for ASRock's upcoming B650 and B650E motherboards. We are looking at seven models this time, four B650E and three B650 models in all. According to Videocardz, the cheapest board in the range has a six layer PCB, with the majority of models utilising an eight layer PCB and the Mini-ITX board going up to ten layers. In other words, as a result of the switch to PCIe 5.0, it appears that most entry-level boards are now utilising high-end PCBs.

We can now conclude that the B650 Taichi has a 24+2+1 VRM phase design (CPU+SOC+MEM) and an E-ATX form factor. In contrast, the B550 Taichi with an AM4 socket had a total of 16 phases (14+2) and was an ATX board. Five of the boards have a PCB design with 8 layers, while the B650M Riptide has a design with 6 layers and the B650E PG-ITX/ax has a design with 10 layers. PCIe Gen5 x16 is only supported by the B650E series, but Gen5 x4 M is supported by all. 2: storing Seven boards is not a long list, but it includes E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX form factors.

ASRock will confirm the specs for the B650 series next week during AMD's Meet the Expert webinar. At that time, the AM5 mid-range offering will be shown off for the first time.
