When it comes to 64-bit memory bus, the first one that comes to my mind from red camp is ATi HD 2400 Pro. 4Gb gddr6 vs. 0.25Gb ddr2 (2022-64-bit-2007).

it has infinity cache so that 64bit memory bus will act more like as 128/192bit bus. Much like how the 6800+ and above have only a 256bit bus but infinity cache helps feed the core with 1.6TB/s of data allowing AMD to save money on a less complex memory config.
the biggest downfall of this card is 4GB vram pool but even then its aimed at esports and mmo titles and not triple A games and FSR now being inside the drivers it will help the card along too. It should of had 6GB though. But this is 4GB of 18Gbps G6 memory not the slower 16Gbps found on the 6800's or 14Gbps found on the 3050.
The card is also on 6nm so it won't take away from 7nm production and 4GB memory means miners will defo not want this card. I do think they should of come in a bit more aggressive with the price maybe around $149-$179 and had it be 6GB.
I am looking forward to reviews as I want to see how well RDNA2 scales, it could give us more of an idea how the steam deck and new samsung SoC's will perform.

16mb has only 37% hit rate at 1080p
so not even +50%,let alone 100%
even 6g with 96-bit would be a much better configuration, with a larger pool and higher bandwidth
8g 128-bit is gonna do the same thing to 4G 64-bit as 3090 does to 6700xt at 4K,even worse since Navi22 has a 50% hit rate at 4K,this is less than 40%.
the most similar situation is 6600xt vs 3060 at resolutions above 1080p,where 6600xt goes from 10% faster to 5% slower when the hit rate goes into the 30-40% area.
and that is 128-bit w.32mb IC against 192-bit,on a faster die,not 64 vs 128 with a slower die.so not from faster to slower,it's gonna go from bad to worse around 960p-1080p

Not from AMD perspective . It will sell like fresh and hot buns . Market is soo hungry for any GPU that can run AAA titles...
And this seems to be usless for miners : 64 bit + 4GB .
In current toxic market AMD did best to support gamers and cash in - maximum value ( small - cheap chip - high msrp).
It is WIN for AMD and WIN for desperate gamers - in normal market this card would be pathetic.

that's not that important,580 was a very good card even if a re-release of 480.but that was 2017-18.Not 2022.
I think cutting down the specs down to a bare minimum to hit a 200usd msrp is not a good solution to the problem of availability, not in the slightest.
that is if we're gonna see it at msrp.cause miners will take 4G cards too and make them useful.
Ohhh. now I get what you mean, and yeah.. just learned about the memory bus... this one is a hard pass for me.
