Asobo Studio Will Add DLSS to Microsoft Flight Simulator
According to developer Asobo Studio, the PC edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator will have support for Nvidia DLSS later this year.
DLSS for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released 'later this year', according to the company. The upscaling method will be employed in the game's DirectX 12 mode according to the company. There is no other information provided. DLSS is a "supersampling" technique developed by Nvidia that takes advantage of the Tensor cores found in RTX graphics cards. A game is rendered in a lower resolution than the original. After that, artificial intelligence upscaling is used to improve the image's quality. Frame rates could be greatly improved as a result of this.
The firm makes no mention of a specific date for when the upgrade will be made available to customers.

I did hear something about DLSS in VR supporting eye-tracking so it concentrates the major resolution only to region where eyes are currently looking, which would be another major frame-rate and quality improvement. Not sure if this is going to be implemented/supported in this though. Would be great if it was.
Does anyone actually use MSFS just on a desktop monitor?? If DLSS is not in VR, then its a waste of time for most flight-sim users who mostly use some VR headset.

I'd bet most people play MSFS on a desktop monitor.
Does anyone actually 'mostly use some VR headset'?
There is no group of users 'who mostly use some VR headset', including "all VR headset owners" as a group.

Itll probably come to VR but they would really have to improve on dx12 in vr for it to be as exciting as it should be, as dx11 is much faster.
