I wonder if FSR 2.0 will be released as a library to add to games, or if it'll become a Radeon driver exclusive? If they don't need to rely on developers integrating it in to games, they could keep it back as a exclusive feature of Radeon cards.

FSR 2.0 won't be implemented in the same manner. It's a temporal solution and requires game developers to implement and feed it data. This just upscales the entire image, similar to the non-SDK version of NIS.

A nice step forward for AMD, but the lack of support for Polaris and Vega is a disappointment.
I bet many users of RX580 and similar, will be disappointed with this.

Ya - I feel like a large chunk of people don't even realize NIS exists because all the articles/threads/reddit posts I see are comparing this to DLSS and I don't think it's a fair comparison.

It's a real shame the APUs can't take advantage of this since they would easily see the largest improvement from this, and need it the most.
It is a pretty significant performance gain for the loss in image quality, and the fact it works on any game is great. I'd still say DLSS is better, but that's to be expected considering how much more advanced and optimized it is.
