Apple targets Epic Games, claiming that its store will not turn a profit until 2027.
In the midst of a heated legal dispute between Apple and Epic Games, Apple's attorneys have just added more fuel to the flames with their most recent claims.
In response to Epic's claim that the Epic Games Store is comparable to Apple's App Store, Apple's lawyers attacked the company with numbers that reflect the significant losses that the EGS is causing, claiming that the two stores "do not compare in absolute terms" because the Epic store "will not be profitable for many years, if not ever" As if that weren't enough, forecasts indicate that the Epic Games Store will generate its first profits only in 2027, under the best of circumstances. Yes, even under the best-case scenario, they will suffer hundreds of millions of dollars in losses for the next eight years.
While Apple's statements are not particularly contextual and are merely intended to make Epic look bad, the lawyers for the company also noted that "“while Epic's commissions are lower than Apple's, they do not offer all the services that Apple provides. EGS is basically a showcase, it does not have the functions that make the App Store a platform desired by consumers and developers ”. As a showcase, the EGS does not provide the features that users and developers look for in an app store.
The struggle is still waging, and this is only the first chapter of what will be many more to come. It will be interesting to see when this legal war comes to a close and what effects it produces, but all indications point to it not being completed anytime soon.

But Apple is right this time. EGS suck and it's just a consumer trap. I always go GOG -> Steam -> gates of hell -> EGS.
Whether or not EGS "sucks" isn't the point. Apple has a complete monopoly on app distribution on iOS. They use that position to prevent competition. There's nothing in anti-trust law that says that a competitor can't "suck". However, a company that holds a monopoly over a market can not use their position to prevent competition.
I 100% agree - EGS gives away a lot of enticing games, some of which I've wanted to play before being freebies. Unlike a lot of people, I don't necessarily have a problem with EGS as-is. I do, however, dislike Epic in general (not strongly, but enough) and I barely have the time to play games I paid for, let alone free ones.
After reading some of the BS they wanted me to agree to just to install Fortnite on my son's computer, I really couldn't care less if Epic goes belly up. However, I do believe in fair competition. Something that Apple believes should not exist.
There's no reason Apple should get a pass on blocking anything even remotely resembling competition on iOS or MacOS, when MS has been forced to remove software from Windows and provide a browser select screen. At least Microsoft didn't force anyone to use the software they were required to remove from Windows. Nor did they even require anyone to use IE, aside from having to download a better browser. Apple is actually forcing iOS users to go through their app store to obtain apps, whether they want to use Apple's app store or not. Under the text of the standing anti-trust laws, that is illegal.
Its free. Gamecopyworld is still thriving.
Get the EGS game, to go Gamecopyworld to get a free legal crack, no more EGS needed for game.
Whether or not a "crack" is legal....largely depends on what country you're in.

I think it was 2016 when the profit from AWS was higher than retail.

You are allowed to crack your own stuff, that is the premise that has kept the site in operation since the 90s.
I really dont think I have to explain more, you can find this stuff out easily and with a bit of common sense.

Now days I dont use that much less i pull out my old copies of those games, which hasnt in long time i dont even have my optical drive installed on my pc, now days i just get my games from steam or gog

I probably wouldn't have played some of the games as much as i did because of GCW. So nice to just fire them right up, no disc. I honestly couldn't even imagine my computing history without that site.
Its unreal how long they have been around, and that they haven't changed a thing in all this time.

Mind explaining how the crack is legal? Because spending 20 seconds in that site and I can already tell it's pretty fishy.
Since it probably isn't legal, that means it's stealing. stealing=/=free.
Gamecopyworld has been around for ages and ages... I think the last I used it was when trying to figure out how to make Crysis stop crashing on startup, which I legitimately own a retail copy of the original DVD version... all the website does is list cracks for games, it does not provide a means of illegally pirating video games.
