Apple Pro Display XDR: 6K display with a brightness of 1,600 cd/m²

We typically do not report much on Apple products being a PC hardware enthusiast website, however, this one spiked my interest. Apple introduced a new display that has a resolution of 6,016×3,384 pixels at a screen diagonal of 32 inches. It will cost 5,000 US dollars exclusive extra's like a separate stand, "with which the display is virtually weightless," says Apple, costs another $ 1,000 extra.

Now the impressive thing is that this monitor offers "Extreme Dynamic Range" and that increases the high dynamic range. The display has a constant brightness of 1,000 cd/m² (which is seriously high for a monitor), however, peak maximum brightness is 1,600 cd/m², whereby a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1 should be achieved (which obviously is not the native CR). The factory-calibrated 10-bit display covers the DCI-P3 color space and is coated with an anti-reflection coating. The refresh rate is a maximum of 60 Hz. The LEDs are controlled and regulated via local dimming in 576 zones. The edges around the panel are 9 millimeters, the entire front is covered with glass.

5K for the monitor, 1K for the lightweight pro-stand, and then a matte option called nanotexture that etches the glass at nanometer range, instead of coating it, requires as well  $ 1,000.
