Apple does not seem to be fond of the Steam Link app on the App Store, all due to a business conflict. With the app it is possible to stream PC games to smartphones and tablets.

Valve had sent out the app to Apple for approval. The app was first approved by Apple, but later the company rejected it. The app would be a "business conflict with the app guidelines" that Apple was previously unaware of. Valve challenged the decision, but the app will remain disapproved for the time being. "Our team worked on this project for many hours, so we are obviously disappointed", according to a statement from the company. "We hope that Apple will come up with ideas in the future." The Steam Link app makes it possible to play PC games on a mobile device. The image of a computer is streamed to a telephone while buttons pressed on a linked controller are sent to this PC.

A beta version of Steam Link for Android phones has recently been made available.
