AORUS Gen4 NVMe AIC holds 2TB of SSDs

AORUS Gen4 AIC 2TB SSD (RAID card) delivers speeds: up to 15,000MB/s for sequential read, and up to 9,500MB/s for sequential write. While the storage volume doesn't sound like a lot, it's still an interesting product.

So in short, this is a RAID card fitted with four 96-layer 3D TLC Phison "PS5016-E16 based SSDs. Totalling to 2 TB.

The storage performance of AORUS Gen4 AIC 2TB SSDs is up to 3x faster than regular Gen4 SSDs in RAID. Furthermore, the advanced thermal design keeps the controller and memory at low temperatures, ensuring that Gen4 SSD performance won’t be compromised. Always keep performance at the highest levels. Get ready to enter the next generation of computing and enjoy faster and smoother graphics-intensive rendering and game streaming.

A variation model with a capacity of 2TB has been added to the NVMe SSD "AORUS Gen4 AIC SSD" with PCI-Express4.0 (x16) connection. Two models have been developed, including the 8TB model "AORUS Gen4 AIC SSD 8TB" that is already on sale and now this 2 TB model.

The base is the adapter card "AORUS Gen4 AIC Adapter" that can mount 4 NVMe M.2 SSDs, and 4 500GB SSDs with PCI-Express4.0 (x4) connection. By building RAID 0 with these SSDs, high-speed access of up to 15,000MB / sec for reading and 9,500MB / sec for writing is possible.

In addition, in order to efficiently cool four NVMe M.2 SSDs, a blower fan with a diameter of 50 mm, a thermal pad with high thermal conductivity, and a copper heat sink with a thickness of 5.5 mm are standard equipment. Furthermore, an aluminum cover was provided so as to cover the entire substrate.

NAND flash is 96-layer 3D TLC, controller is Phison "PS5016-E16", random read is up to 425,000 IOPS, write is up to 440,000 IOPS. Write endurance is 850TBW per SSD, MTBF is 1.77 million hours, and product warranty is 5 years. The card size (excluding brackets) is 265.25 mm in length, 120.04 mm in width, and 19.80 mm in height. At this time, there are no sales announcements for this product in the domestic market.

Kick ass. Have my AIC from Gigabyte with four Sabrent rockets. It's just as fast if not faster than they're touting for this guy.

Scratch disk from hell that's for sure!!

You can buy this in 8TBs for the small fee of £1550.

I'd love one but since i'm not a rich guy then 2TB M.2 Gen4 is my lot. Then other drives like a 6TB WD Black.
