AOC releases AG322QCX WQHD 144Hz VA Monitor

AOC is set to release its AG322QCX, a WQHD VA panel based monitor that has a 144Hz refresh rate from their AGON lineup of monitors. The new monitor comes with a 2560 x 1440 display resolution and sports a 1800R curve.

A 4ms Optronics 31.5” MVA (Multi-Domain Vertical Alignment) panel is used. The panel is Adaptive-Sync ready and thus AMD FreeSync  compatible and has a variable refresh rate range specified as 48 – 146Hz. LFC (Low Framerate Compensation) should also be supported.  True 8-bit colour is supported without dithering and a static contrast ratio of 2000:1 is specified alongside 178°/178° viewing angles.

  • Size 31.5"
  • Resolution 2560x1440@144Hz
  • Inputs D-Sub , HDMI , Displayport (2x IN) , USB fast charge
  • Response time 4 ms
  • Features Plug and Play

The monitor has a VESA mount at 100x100mm and includes  2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 2 DP 1.2a ports (Adaptive-Sync compatible), VGA, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 3.5mm headphone jack and 3.5mm microphone jack. Stereo speakers offers basic sound output. The monitor is currently due for release in May 2017, with an MSRP of £519 / 599 Euro including VAT. A release in other regions such as the US is likely around a similar time. We will review this model shortly.

VA panel is best of both worlds it got the sharpnes of the tn and the colors of the ips.

Minus the ugly yellow glow from the ips and washed out picture, and minus the tn crappy viewing angles.

I never want an tn or ips ever again now i have the Samsung C27FG70, it beats asus and acer in picture quality in a nuttshell.
