AOC Agon AG493UCX: 49-inch 120 Hz Display with FreeSync

AOC is releasing a 49-inch ultra-wide display dubbed the AG493UCX . The VA Panel model is designed for gamers and has a 120 Hz refresh rate, FreeSync support, 1800R display curvature, and a 32:9 resolution 5120x 440 pixels.

For the color space the following values are represented: 121% sRGB, 102% NTSC and 93% DCI-P3. The delta E value should be less than 2. Two HDMI 2.0 inputs, two DisplayPorts 1.4, a USB 3.2 hub (Gen. 1), a USB-C port and an audio output are included in the range of interfaces. In addition, two 5-watt speakers are installed. The monitor can be rotated, tilted and adjusted in height - Pivot is missing, of course, due to the immense width.

The brightness value is listed at 550 cd/m ², which would become a DisplayHDR400 certificate. The contrast ratio is VA typical 3000:1. The monitor is factory calibrated as mentioned with a claimed color deviation of dE <2 , interestingly enough the dsiplay also offers ... a gigabit Ethernet jack.

  • Mobile device-ready with USB-C input for convenient docking (DP Alt Mode for display signal) and charging of your Device at the same time (up to 65W via USB-PD)
  • Multiple device input capable with kvm-switch built-in and Picture-by-Picture support that allows for quick switching of USB peripherals based on selected inputs
  • Agon re-spawned Warranty: 4-year zero-bright-dot guarantee, 4-year advance replacement, 1-year (one-time) accidental damage coverage

I have 2x 27" 1440p 144hz monitors on my table, as I work at home. 1 for gaming and other monitor for work.
I would love to get this monitor with a 1440p vertical resolution, 1080p or less is a no go, as most 49 ultrawides.
But right now the cost for me was around 700 euros for 2 monitors. So switching them up for one 49" 1440p... and adding extra 700 for it- no go!

lol all these people commenting about the pixel density on the 49" ultrawide.... its got the same pixel density as a 27" 2560x1440 16:9 display, its basically two 27" 2560x1440 monitors side by side without a bezel in between... which to be honest is really appealing to me, I don't have the space for 3X 27" screens on my desk, and you cant game with 2X 27" screens as you spend your whole time staring at a bezel if you do that.

This type of monitor is awesome if you need the extra space and also want to be able to game on it as well, compared to having to just use one monitor to game if you go the dual screen setup route.

Exactly. I currently have the XFX Triple Display stand with a Dell 27" 2560x1440 in middle and two Dell 24" monitors on each side which I use for other non computer things (left is CCTV display, right never used). Was thinking I'd like to get rid of this setup and replace with a single wide monitor but don't want one with lower resolution & height than I am currently used to with the 27" Dell. This one, or that Samsung CRG90, would be perfect. Here's the link to UK Amazon by the way instead of that american link previously posted: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-C49RG90-49-inch-Ultrawide-Monitor/dp/B07NL27TCK/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1

Im interested in 49in. But not if it cost me 50% more than a 16:9 120hz with UHD res, especially when i get much more height,
i didnt say i have physically seen it (how btw, when i linked a website, not a physical store?), but the price it was listed for.

@yasamoka
because even with the increase in screen height (16:9 screen) i will still see an increase in res (2160),
which will look better.

Just bought this monitor and wowo!.!

Just a great monitor all around. And can't wait to get it all setup and slamming down some footage on and off if it. That and some Unreal engine 4 action.

This monitor and my 1080p 120hz right above it are going to be great! That is when I find a mount I want to stick into my block wall for it.

CORRECTION!! Must have been on that "good good" that day I typed this one up.

I have the VIOTEK SUW49DA

And it is simply sublime to say the least.....
