An AMD FX 670K Quad Core Processor Surfaces
Very interesting, a photo of a screenshot on a monitor of an AMD FX 670K Quad Core Processor surfaced on the web. Apparantly is is a CPU that is being distributed in PCs from HP. The AMD FX-670K is found int heir Pavilion 500-266ea desktops.Basically this FX CPU is a "Richland" APU with its integrated GPU disabled.
The FX-670K comes with a processor clock speeds of up to 3.70 GHz. This all is a bit of a mystery considering the specs. Perhaps the truth is to be found in the "K" extension as the FX-670K comes with an unlocked base-clock multiplier.
The HP Pavilion 500-266ea features a socket FM2 motherboard based on the AMD A75 chipset, and discrete AMD Radeon R7 240 graphics. It's priced at CA $650.
Update, an author of an AMD FX-670K just submitted a proper screenshot, thanks Randylahey!

If you're using one of the hex cores, does it really matter? Do you really need something faster than that for live performance purposes?
Anyway, I think this CPU is interesting - its ideal for people who want new-generation AMD products while not expecting to use the IGP for anything. But, you'd think AMD would use the physical space of the APU to cram more cores, though. But, there might be more to come in the future.
It's a shame intel doesn't do this. Intel IGPs are fine for office purposes and non-gaming laptops, but their IGPs are a waste of our money. Cut the price by at least 15% and remove the IGP and I might consider switching back to intel. The only reason an IGP is of interest to me is if I intend to run a hypervisor with GPU passthrough - IGPs make good host graphics.

It's a 975, actually. Yeah, it's been pretty wheezy in games like Planetside 2 or even Star Citizen, not to mention modded games. Of course I don't really need an upgrade, I could do with an Athlon XP or Pentium 4, but it would surely be nice to not worry about graphics settings for a change
