AmpliFi expands its range of powerful mesh Wi-Fi systems

Ubiquiti announces its AmpliFi Instant mesh Wi-Fi system, the newest addition to its AmpliFi line of consumer products, is now available in Europe. It is designed to be compact, reliable, and instantly accessible to consumers who want to upgrade their home Wi-Fi.

With a setup time of less than 2 minutes, AmpliFi Instant is a perfect mesh Wi-Fi solution for any average-sized home or apartment. It brings the benefits of mesh Wi-Fi to consumers’ at the most accessible price point in the category, starting at £121.20 for the Router from Amazon and £192.49 for the Router and MeshPoint kit.

AmpliFi Instant maintains the brand’s high standard of networking technology, utilising 802.11ac Wi-Fi with both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz radios. The Router features dual-band radios, a WAN port, and a Gigabit Ethernet port, while the MeshPoint features a Gigabit Ethernet port.

The simple and compact design can seamlessly blend into a home decor and be set on any flat surface for optimal Wi-Fi coverage. AmpliFi Instant also utilises the intuitive AmpliFi app for instant setup, configuration, powerful reporting metrics, parental controls, remote access, and easy guest access. The mobile app is available for download on Android and iOS smartphones.

As homes become increasingly connected, Wi-Fi systems must be able to handle the increased traffic from a growing number of devices. AmpliFi Instant is designed to handle these demands yet still maintain a very attractive price point. It is made by Wi-Fi experts, designed for everyday consumers, and is an accessible mesh Wi-Fi system that anyone can use.

Key Features:

  • 2-minute setup: The AmpliFi app guides users for quick, easy setup, while the MeshPoint comes pre-paired - simply plug it in where Wi-Fi is needed the most.
  • User friendly features: AmpliFi Instant has the features users want, such as device status and guest access, and a simple interface that doesn’t require an advanced technical degree. A glowing LED light indicates the system status while the AmpliFi app puts users in control of their Wi-Fi.
  • Designed for the home: AmpliFi Instant is designed to complement the home’s interior both functionally and aesthetically. The clean, fresh design allows users to put the Router where they use their devices, such as an office, family room, or bedroom.
  • A Simple yet powerful app: The AmpliFi app makes it easy for users to configure and check on the network at home or remotely, manage devices by pausing or scheduling internet use, and control who uses the Wi-Fi with guest access features.
  • Easy-to-upgrade Mesh: In addition to the AmpliFi Instant kit, which features an AmpliFi Instant MeshPoint, users can add AmpliFi HD MeshPoints or AmpliFi HD Routers for additional coverage.

I have used a couple of the amplifiHD kits. Works pretty good, but for $350, kinda wish it came with one more satellite. Mesh is a good option when running cable for ap's is not an option.....but if you have the option, i tend to prefer traditional ap's.
