We've been writing quite a bit on Radeon RX 5700, and sure a rumor or two on big-NAVI aka Radeon RX 5800. In the AMD camp, it has been silent on that 5800 series. However team red seems to be prepping a high-end GPU that can be expected in a not too long timeframe.

During AMD’s Q&A call, Lisa Su stated that high-end models based on the NAVI architecture are coming, though there is still no ETA on when they will arrive.

“I would say they are coming. You should expect that our execution on those are on track and we have a rich 7nm portfolio beyond the products that we have currently announced in the upcoming quarters.”

The codename “Navi 12” was doing rounds on in media earlier last week, suggesting that the red team is currently working on a larger GPU that may be called Radeon RX5800. AMD has discontinued Radeon VII; a GPU that was advertised as AMD’s latest high-end product. With Radeon VII being “dead,” the road opens for a brand new high-end GPU based on the NAVI architecture.
