AMD confirmed new 400 chipsets, indicated to launch in April. You already have seen the 400 series chipset mentioned a couple of times here on Guru3D, the prime models AMD X470 chipset based models.

The chipset is obviously AM4 compatible yet optimized for Ryzen "Summit Ridge" procs, at a 12nm fabrication process. These processors would also work with your X370 chipset based motherboard. History learns us that die-shrinks often lead to better energy efficiency, and let's hope for some higher frequencies as well.

The new chipset has small improvements, and use less power and are released along 2nd Generation Ryzen desktop processors with 12nm Zen+ processors cores. AMD stated they have been able to get better (higher) clock speeds.  These new AM4 desktop processors also feature Precision Boost 2 technology.

Also interesting is above, first we'll see 12nm Zen+ optimized Ryzen processors. Then Zen 2 is fabbed at 7nm. Zen 3 is on track, launching in 2020 based on a 7nm+ (optimized) fabrication.
