Should you have missed the updated download two days ago, AMD released a Windows 11 compatible chipset driver for the upcoming operating system. It is available for download and allows for the most efficient functioning of AMD ZEN based processors.

AMD has announced the release of the first chipset driver to include Windows 11 functionality. It is possible to use the platform drivers for AM4 with the I/O hubs from the 300, 400, and 500 series chipsets, and of course with the two HEDT systems TRX40 and WRX80. This means that Ryzen systems from the second generation (desktop) and third-generation (mobile), as well as anything from Zen Plus, are supported. In the coming weeks, we'll see how much of this can be accomplished in practice and how much of it may be avoided in a rational manner. The release of Windows 11 is scheduled for October 5th.
