AMD Sponsor of Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Team This Year

Scuderia Ferrari revealed its F1 car for the new 2018 season; the SF71H shines all bright and not surprisingly, in Ferrari red. The PC aficionado might have noticed something at the lower nose-cone of the of the car, there is an AMD logo present.

So it looks like it that Team Scuderia Ferrari will be using AMD powered laptops and what not. Further details of the renewed cooperation are as yet unknown or not shared. Other than the logo visually there on the card, no information was shared, neither have either of the parties issues a press release.

Check it out.

It's funny that a few years ago all the "financial analysts" on tech forums were predicting AMD's bankruptcy no matter what, even if Zen worked. And here we are now. AMD is pissing money down the toilet on an F1 sponsorship (this is coming from an F1 fan) and moving into better offices.

Shame F1 is garbage nowdays.

I rarely bother to watch it last couple of years. Most of the time i have it on in the background incase something non-yawning happens. I bet 2018 is gonna be a whole lot of Tire and Fuel Saving again, as well as a ton of DRSing to drive by without a challenge. And i almost forgot the Penalties to decide a race!

Good thing we have the spectacle that is MotoGP.

Ferrari lost a major sponsor after Santander left. (around 40M per year)

Now they need any money if they want to be competitive.

Shouldn't it be called VRSing on an AMD-sponsored car? ;)
