AMD will launch the Radeon RX 560D, a new graphics card for the Chinese market. In essence a simplified Radeo RX 560. Compared with Radeo RX 560, the Radeon RX 560D has 896 streaming processors.
The shader processors do sound rather familiar, and are equivalent to the Radeon RX 460. This card as well is intended for Bitcoin miners. AMD already launched the Radeon RX 470D for mining market At 175 USD is is an cost-effective graphics card that might actually appeal gamers.

Vega doesn't sound like a very cheap card to make, no matter how you look at it, let alone disabling parts of it to make lesser cards. AMD should have made Polaris 9 in the mean time. It would have been cheap and made lots of people happy. But of course this is all empty talk since AMD never expected things would turn out like this.

I think there will be 3 consumer versions of Vega. At least that was the rumor. We will know soon enough.
