A Taiwanese overclocker overclocked an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX 64-core/128-thread workstation CPU to 5.15 GHz all-core, crushing the Cinebench R23 world-record. The chip achieved 116142 on the multi-threaded benchmark, beating Splave's Threadripper 3990X by 105170 points.
Threadripper PRO 5995WX has 64 Zen3 based cores. The newest Threadripper CPU has no consumer/retail version. Any customer needs a WRX80 motherboard (which is expensive) and a 5995WX CPU (which costs $6,499). Liquid-nitrogen was used to cool the 5995WX. Bitspower evaporator. 128 GB octal-channel DDR4-3200 memory with an MSI PRO WS WRX80 motherboard supported the processor. OS was Windows 10 21H2.
