Okay, that is on LN2 of course. I was actually there at the time that happend. I attached some photos at the event. The new record was set with 16 cores enabled and SMT at 32 threads. The 5.2 GHz was reached at a VCore read 1.55v, done on a AMD whitehaven reference motherboard.

The board has no BCLK change capability, so this was an MP based tweak. For us regular tweakers I have some quality info, I learned at the AMD event that 4 GHz on ALL cores only needs 1.325~1.350 Volts on the processor. ALL Threadripper processors get fitted with the top 2% dies fitted onto the package. With an average Ryzen 7 you'd need 1.40~1.45 on 8 cores already. These Threadrippers are thus confirmed to have been binned for best ASIC quality, low leakage and thus proper low voltage resulting in some very good results.

So the CB Score reach was a staggering 4122 CB multi-threaded.

I also have some news about the dies used, in an unlidding video you have been able to see 4 dies, which assumes 32-cores. However AMD i using the EPYC package. They sort and bin the dies, place two of them on the package (one left one right) and then for IHS stability add two dummy dies. So there really are only 16-cores available on Threadripper. But for the future, they could scale upwards quite easily when you think about it.
