AMD: The Wraith Prism RGB Processor Cooler with 6 Heatpipes Is Either Fake or Replica

AMD: The Wraith Prism RGB Processor Cooler with 6 Heatpipes Is Either Fake or Replica

Earlier this week we posted a story showing a what seemed to be updated Wraith cooler from AMD. In Asia at the Xfastest forums somebody noticed a new revision of the Wraith Prism with six heat pipes.

The odd thing already was the exact same product number for his new SKU: 712-000075 Rev: C. As it turns out it is a fake, replication or a photoshopped cooler. AMD commented on this cooler via its Twitter page. AMD emphasizes in the tweet that the company's site describes what the supplied coolers look like and with which processors they are delivered.

Perhaps an enthusiastic AMD fan wanted to hint to the chip designer an updated design for the stock cooler as to what it should be like :)

Imagine buying a fake Wraith cooler except, it's a fake... and has better cooling than a Official cooler.

without adding surface area (fins), i doubt this will cool better, just because it has 2 more pipes.
unless of course the stock cooler wasnt maxed out/below what it "could" do.

The 6 pipes version could potentially be worse then the stock cooler, because less airflow would get past the wall of heatpipes, so the bottom half of the heatsink has less airflow then the original 4 pipe stock cooler.

Wikipedia is full of fake, my father in law is still alive for them, i was here when he passed, i was here for the cremation too but no one can change the article, because there is more people writting fake than the truth and i am not from his family... think about it when you read article from wikipedia (also it's a real low information wiki, they better close the concept than begging for money each years).
