AMD Specs of Ryzen 2000G "Raven Ridge" APUs Revealed
AMD has announced the specifications of two of these APU's: the Ryzen 3 2200G and the Ryzen 5 2400G series. What is interesting to see straight of the bat is that default memory speeds have been bumped upwards to up to 2933 MHz.
Since the APUs graphics engine makes use of that DDR4 memory, this is a clever move, reports computer base. As all AM4 platforms are currently being prepared with Raven Ridge BIOS updates and thus the Ryzen 2000 CPUs as well, the upcoming new processors would launch alongside new X470 motherboards. The motherboard manufacturers claim support speeds of up to 4000 MHz.

The table below gives an overview of the currently known data about the Raven Ridge processors. The 2400G and 2200G are desktop processors, the others are mobile variants.
The released details also confirm that all desktop models will compete with configurable TDP from 45 to 65 watts, and would get bundled with an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler.

2400g is 45-65w tdp too. It's the 2700 that has 15w tdp.

Right, I was comparing mobile devices.
If I am not wrong i7-8705g is targeted for mobile devices, so we compare i7-8705g (mobile 65TDP) vs Ryzen 7 2700U (mobile 15TDP)

From the early benchmarks i saw for the new processor Ryzen 5 2400G , its not worth it unless you really need the integrated graphics. The Ryzen 5 1600 which is about the same price is much faster for multitasking (+37% multi-core speed) which makes a big difference. I already own a graphics card like most people and dont ever plan on buying integrated graphics. Everyone knows that what is integrated is usually slower and cheaper. I am pretty sure it also slows down the overall computer processing. The integrated graphics are from Radeon and we also know that Nvidia cards are better (look at the top graphics cards in the benchmarks if you dont believe me). Unless you absolutely need integrated graphics and dont have a good graphics card or cant afford to get one and dont play games , you better get a processor from the first series of Ryzen 5 or better or something else than the G series and get a good graphics card. An article i saw was saying that the Ryzen 7 2000 series wont even have integrated graphics because high-end users use their own graphics card due to a better performance. I think this says it all. Why would you pay a huge price on a processor to use cheap integrated graphics... Get yourself a good graphics card (Geforce GTX 1050-1060 or better) and a better processor instead than those G series if you plan on doing any gaming. Like we always say , you get what you pay for. When you try so save a bit of money. you often end up losing alot on quality. I did the mistake when buying the Ryzen 3. They are very slow at multi-tasking and i ended up buying a Ryzen 5 1600 instead. I had alot problems with the Ryzen 3 making my computer run slow as soon i was starting to open a few windows and having a few software or browsers running at the same time. The 2400G should have the same problem and i dont recommend it.

"and dont ever plan on buying integrated graphics." => Good to see you do not intend to buy any intel's chips...
"if you dont believe me" => I think that you do not realize what forums you are posting to.
"An article i saw was saying that the Ryzen 7 2000 series wont even have integrated graphics because high-end users use their own graphics card" => There are APUs and CPUs, learn difference.
"Why would you pay a huge price on a processor to use cheap integrated graphics" => Because HTPC, Office, ... Or maybe because 2400G has iGPU providing same performance as $80 dGPU? And maybe, because anything above RX-560 is still permanently sold out due to mining?
"I had alot problems with the Ryzen 3" => PICNIC
"The 2400G should have the same problem and i dont recommend it." => I do recommend to ignore your babbling.

Very true. It makes me very curious about what a Ryzen 7 apu with a similar tdp to that of the i7-8705g will be able to do. Go AMD!!!!
