As part of the official B550 announcement, in addition to details on chipset compatibility, AMD revealed motherboard designs from the top 5 manufacturers, releasing a model of each.

Asrock revealed the B550 Taichi, with a new gold look design that we already noticed in the Z490 series, and that will now also hit the red side. It looks like a pretty solid board, so we don't think it's very economical, although if you were looking for a Taichi, surely it is quite cheaper than the X570 edition.

  • Asus has a STRIX B550-E Gaming, which offers a design very similar to those we were seeing, and like the Asrock model, it looks quite solid, so we do not think it is too cheap either. Anyway, this is the top model in the Asus B550 line, and there will be much cheaper alternatives.
  • Biostar is present as well, they show a M-ATX model, called the B550GTQ. Not bad at all, with dual reinforced PCI-E, dual M.2 with heatsink, although it has no heatsinks in the upper VRMs, which will affect the temperature especially when using high TDP CPUs.
  • Gigabyte, with the B550 AORUS Master, has Direct Touch heatsinks in the VRMs, triple M-2 with heatsink, reinforced rams, AMP-UP Audio, and some RGB, being again a model of great quality despite not using the cheapest chipset.
  • Finally we have the MSI MPG B550 Gaming Carbon Wi-Fi, which like all the brand's Carbon comes with a large number of components and all the latest technologies on board.

All these motherboards, and many more models, will hit the market on June 16.
