AMD Ryzen Threadripper Review Kit Unboxing Leaked at SweClockers

The guys at SweClockers made a bit of a booboo earlier today. Media has been receiving their Threadripper kits for review and are allowed to share a bit of un-boxing, however there is still an embargo until this afternoon.

SweClockers had posted their video online (now offline) showing the processor. AMD did well here as the Threadripper review sample will come with a dummy Threadripper die with the name of the reviewing publication laser-engraved on it,very nice.

If you look at the images you can see a Torx key bundled for Threadripper installation. More this afternoon though, here at Guru3D of course.

Wait you guys have an embargo on unboxing a CPU? This is getting ridiculous - it's only hardware after all.

I mean we already know what it looks like, we've even seen the inside of the cpu from delidding it. We know it's capabilities and have seen the packaging, but don't open it till we say so? lol. No wonder the word nerd is applied to computer people. :bang:
