AMD's Ryzen Threadripper 5000 processor has been under development for quite some time. Despite the fact that AMD has repeatedly postponed the chip's release, there appears to be a bit more assurance about when the processor will be released.

Dataminer Greymon55 has been successful in extracting information from AMD, which has led him to believe that the processor will be released next year as planned. "Chagall" is the codename for the chip, which is based on the Zen 3 microarchitecture and will most likely have the same number of cores as its predecessor. There will be no increase in core count over the present 3000 series, but there will be an increase in frequency over the previous "Castle Peak" series, which is based on the Zen2 architecture. The introduction of Chagall next year could indicate that AMD will be employing the Zen3+ microarchitecture rather than the Zen3 microarchitecture. The data miner hasn't gotten his hands on much more information as of yet.
