There's not a day that goes by with something Ryzen. We talked 32,16, 8, 6 and 4 core processors, we can now add a 12-core version as well.  Hey, when it rains it pours.

As it seems, a 12-core processor is in the works, Not a server chip but once again a product for a high performance desktop. It features a new socket and has its turbo clock set at 3.2 GHz, as Videocardz spotted, for this engineering sample test run. It is safe to say it would be a cut-down version of the 16-core processor. This 12 core / 24 threaded CPU would / could most likely be intended for AMD’s HEDT X390 platform. The PC detected with this CPU is an Alienware Area-51 R3.

The processor is listed as an Engineering sample under code 2D2701A9UC9F4_32/27_N (2N 6M 24T 2.7GHz, 12x 512kB L2, 8x 8MB L3).
