Reddit user u/AromaticImpress7778 ingeniously modified their PC setup to accommodate the high-performance Ryzen 9 7950X CPU using a passive cooling method. 

The innovative approach involved attaching two one-kilogram copper bars to the Streacom DB4 case, designed for 65W CPUs in mini-ITX builds.

The system comprised an MSI MPG B650I Edge WiFi motherboard, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor with 16 cores and 32 threads, 64GB DDR5 memory, and an HDPLEX 250W GaN ATX power supply capable of delivering up to 250W. To handle the high-TDP CPU, the user affixed two copper bars to the case using the default plate, an extra 233-gram copper plate for the CPU and motherboard, Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal, and Arctic MX-6 thermal paste.

The passive cooling system performed remarkably well during tests, with the CPU temperatures reaching 95 degrees Celsius for CCD1 and CCD2 at maximum load. The Streacom DB4 case's external panels experienced heat levels between 50C and 60C. The entire build weighed approximately 13kg, with 4.4kg contributed by the copper components.
