BenchLeaks recently published one of the first benchmarks for the Ryzen 9 7900X3D in the game Ashes of The Singularity (AoTS).

The CPU scored an average of 9000 in the Crazy 1080p preset, an 87.5% gaming performance uplift compared to the non-3D V-Cache version of the Ryzen 9 7900X, which scored 4800 using DX12. However, it is worth taking these results with a pinch of salt due to the inconsistent benchmark results and small sample sizes in AoTS.

Further analysis found that an RTX 4090 system with the previous-gen Ryzen 9 5800X3D 8C/16T CPU achieved a Crazy 1080p score of 13300 using DX12, highlighting the potential for improvement with the new Ryzen 7000 processors.

The Ryzen 9 7900X3D is the mid-priced option of the new range, with the 7800X3D with 8C/16T being $150 cheaper, and the 7950X3D with 16C/32T is just $100 more. While AMD has shared some first-party comparative gaming benchmarks for the 7800X3D and 7950X3D, it neglected to do so for the 7900X3D. It is advisable to wait for independent third-party reviews before pre-allocating your budget for building or upgrading your PC.
