AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Spotted Priced Far Under 500 USD, even 389 USD
If there is one processor that can frustrate the 10 gen i9-10900K and i7-10700K a bit, it's the Ryzen 9 3900X. Now it's not confirmed just yet, but the 3900X has been selling for well below 430 USD in the USA. Here in the EU the prices for that processor have been lower as well, quite a while already.
If you read our reviews, the 3900X is battling the new 488 USD (msrp) Core i9-10900K quite well, the proc is currently listed at 529 USD in most stores. The 3900X processor is fast and agile, at 499 USD (msrp) the 10900K is fighting off that close to similar priced Ryzen 9 3900X, which offers two more cores at 12-cores.
In the EU the prices however already gradually been dropping towards a level of 429 USD. New rumors indicate prices are set at 409 USD in the USA already as well. Some stores like Microcenter already offer the 3900X at a staggering 389 USD, these are models that include a WRAITH cooler. You do need to pick it up though. The rest is
We'll see how long Intel's pricing will hold up, as it seems the CPU market is getting cutthroat. Below the price development in the EU for that 12-core Ryzen 3900X:

I've had my 3900X since (after my order being delayed for like 2 months) August or September last year and for the price I got it at (heavily discounted) I can't complain about anything aside from the tuning it requires due to terrible default/auto voltages. But for anyone thinking of one for a gaming rig, I'd say wait for Zen 3 considering games STILL don't make use of its many threads, they get very little and often close to zero extra performance out of it.
Hell, maybe you should just get a 3300X with a seemingly mismatched X570 that promises Zen 3 support, for a beefy upgrade later on, if games are what you're mostly doing.
