AMD Ryzen 7 7700X sees price drop to $299
If you'd like to purchase a Ryzen 7 7700X 8-core/16-thread processor built on the Zen 4 architecture, now might be a good time as you can spot it for $299
The 105 W 7700X is now priced at $299, which puts it below the 65 W 7700 that launched at $325. This could result in the 7700 becoming even more affordable in the future with the X3D series arriving soon. AMD has made itself more competitive against Intel's 13th Gen Core i5 models like the i5-13600 and i5-13500 6P+8E. In fact, this $100 price reduction has now made the Ryzen 7 7700X the cheapest it has ever been since it was listed.
AMD gears up to launch its first Ryzen 7000X3D processors, the upgraded Ryzen 7 8-core model with 3D V-Cache will arrive on April 6th. This means that the 8-core Zen4 CPU without this cache is now $150 cheaper than the upcoming X3D model.
The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D processors will be on sale beginning February 28th, and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be available on April 6th.

So... released in the end of September, and getting a substantial discount in February? I'm surprised.
I guess they are indeed batteling for the consumer CPU field.

Once again, confirmation that AMD overpriced their CPUs.
If only AMD had priced their CPUs and GPUs right, maybe their client division wouldn't have had a 51% drop YoY.

Its still a steep price if they are trying to entice AM4 owners to come over, the 7700x maybe offers the same performance that many are seeing on a decent AMD 5*** series CPU anyway.

It's not just a question of being overpriced, people aren't buying new hardware because of the economic downturn and because they are already stuffed with all they bought during the pandemic!
So AMD has no choice other than lowering their prices, and the same applies to Intel and Nvidia.

That's a fantastic price for a great CPU.
