AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D -1080p and 720p gaming gets tested
Last week early results for the Ryzen 7 5800X3D have been posted by XanxoGaming. Now more results have been posted.
The results you see have been posted by them, yet did not fall under embargo, as he got his sample through another party. They were able to get the processor on the open market, but they didn't say how much it cost in Peru (where it was bought). It will be available for purchase for $449 USD, which is about 120 to 140 USD less than the Core i9-12900K MSRP for 1,000 units.
The website pitted the 5800X3D against an Alder Lake machine with the identical DDR4-3200 CL14 memory type. Those are certainly not ideal specifications for a high-end machine, regardless of whether it's based on the Zen3 or Alder Lake architecture, but they're constant across tests. Furthermore, gaming testing are conducted with the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition, eliminating the need for comparisons across multiple GPU versions. XanxoGaming is performing a CPU gaming test, hence 1080p or even 720p resolutions are employed. Such resolutions are unlikely to be used by end users, but they are the greatest method to illustrate CPU gaming capability.
Overall, both processors look to be on par in those 1080p tests. According to the site, performance stands out in three games: Final Fantasy XV, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and The Witcher 3. In FFXV, it is up to 29 percent. If you're curious about how the 5800X3D performs in other games and at 720p quality, see the link below.

Wow awesome performance.
But should have to let the alderlake stretch its performance to its full potential using ddr5 ram with tight timing .

Probably the 5800X3D gonna lead idk about how much, but the 5800X3D could be a huge seller for all those AM4 users who need a good gaming CPU without upgrading the whole system.

And this is why you shouldn't review computer hardware: most, if not all, consumers what to see stock vs stock. Ninety-nine per cent of consumers are not interested in anything else. They want the freedom from what the PC offers but the plug and play of a console.

3200c14 on Intel in 2022

We used 3200 c14 on Ryzen 1700x/1800x :p
Pretty cute to make a bottleneck on the memory. 3200mhz on Alderlake is even worse than using 2133mhz c21 on Ryzen 5 series.... Guess they had to do something to get a clickbait topic

Seems like the L3 cache has big benefits or just on par which is also good.
Can't wait for the reviews, though i wish AMD would par the 5950X with 3D cache as well.
