AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT Will Not Get Coolers Included

AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT Will Not Get Coolers Included

Most previous Ryzen 3000 models received some sort of WRAITH cooler, however, the upcoming Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT will not get boxed with a cooler.

At least if the latest leak is correct. It could be to shave off cost, and well if you purchase a more enthusiast cooler, you're likely not using the included stock cooler anyway. Also, it simply can be TDP related. AMD has done something similar with the 16-core part, the 3950X. This all is based on a spec sheet that momomo_us spotted, Product codes for the two SKUs are marked as "100-100000277WOF" for the 3900XT and "100-100000279WOF" for the 3800XT, with "WOF" indicates "without fan" and thus no included bundled cooler.

As shown in another leak, the Ryzen 5 3600XT would include a Wraith Spire cooling solution. Also, it seems that AMD is pricing the 3900XT at 588€, the 3800XT at 463€, and the 3600XT at 287€

No cooler, 50-100$ more, whats the point of this? Just so you can say your cpus are faster? Sad thing is that Intel will still be faster in gaming.

Not sure if price will stabilize further, but gaming AMD fans will love it. Some people are spend money on brand, rather than performance for the money.

and lots of people want the top performance regardless of the price, last "black friday" they were selling 100 msi 2080ti trio for 200$ less than our base price of 1300 "$" here so still 1100$ roughly they were gone in 5s, 110'000$ of 2080ti sold just like that you could see the amount left ticking down on the phone app it was hypnotizing to me 1k 1k 1k 1k 1k 1k 1k 1k 1k
and there were also 77" inch oleds 4k 4k 4k 4k 4k 4k 4k insane, I talked to an employee they had to shut down the most used direct bank to bank payment method it broke the banks services country wide, an few millions of electronic hardware sold in less than 5hrs, my 1st tought "who is buying all of these ?" lol

AMD is just admitting that with the power we have now a cheapo cooler isn't enough for mid-high end cpus and looking at the giant 3080 gpu coolers you know it's only going to get worse

It is a little odd that you pay so much more for a minimal performance bump and then lose a heatsink.

I would hope that these chips can maintain their boost clocks better or else their existence is moot.

Their coolers are crap anyway, I'd prefer not to have to buy junk.
Prefer very much to choose my own cooler, preferably one with a 120m fan on it!
