AMD Ryzen 7 3800X overclocked to 5.9 GHz on LN2 / DDR4 at 5774 MT/s

Well, one thing is a certainty, there's isn't a lack of news on AMD products lately. A pro-overclocker (Tsaik) subzero cooled a Ryzen 7 3800X with LN2. The 8-core processors was able to reach 5.9 GHz using an MSI motherboard.

The default values for this proc are of course a 3.9 base and 4.5 GHz turbo. Looking at the results the sixth core is clocked at this speed of exactly 5911.3 MHz, using a multiplier of 59 and a bus speed of 100.19 MHz. The screenshots shows a CPU voltage of 1.1 volts but that can't be right though. In other news, the memory also run nicely, at 5774 MHz. He used the Godlike motherboard that we coincidentally reviewed today.

OOT but kinda funny someone like saying forum post only for "same-interest-only"
cmon this forum, people free to post their comment, irrelevant or not its their comment
rather those commenting people comment is the one that OOT, no?

So if someone came into every forum post/article that you are interested in with the sole purpose of saying this shouldn't be here as it's "irrelevant", you're saying that's valid discussion? You're saying you'd be okay with people actively trying to get rid of something you find interesting, all because it doesn't interest them?

Right.......the articles/forum posts don't effect their ability to read the articles they do find interesting, so the only thing that is irrelevant, is their posts against things they were never forced to read.

LN2 doesn't interest me that much, it's slightly interesting, but not extremely, so i read the article and see what it has to offer. But people coming into an ELECTRONIC-BASED FORUM trying to cater it to their specific needs and disregard others, that's a problem.

I couldn't care less that a British bank places computer pioneer Alan Turing on a £50 bill, as has been posted in the hyperlinked text i just put down in this very forum, it's of no interest to me, but again do you see me going there just to tell the forum, or Hilbert, that this is of no interest, and should not be posted here? No. It's his forum he can do as he likes and if people fine it interesting, great! I'm glad for them, my interest or disinterest should not try and halt others interests.

The first official review for the R7 3800X is up now, over at Tom's Hardware.

All tests were performed with RAM at 2933 though, which is strange.
Changing my wishlist from 3800X to 3700X

^ Not surprised by your choice. The 3800X would have made more sense if it could have done 4.7GHz single core boost out of the box.
