As NVIDIA geared up to launch the GeForce RTX 4070, AMD is stepping up its game by not only positioning its Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards as strong contenders, but also slashing prices on select models.

Shoppers could purchase the Radeon RX 6800 for as little as €394.99, a substantial reduction from its initial cost. AIB partners have also applied markdowns of €25 to €45 on both the Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800, lowering their prices to €499 and €429, respectively. Custom versions on offer encompass the ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming and the Gigabyte Radeon RX 6800 Gaming OC WindForce 3X graphics cards.

We just checked again, it seems the old prices are already back in place.  It was an interesting dynamic to observe.
