In the coming weeks, AMD will release new drivers for its Radeon RX 6000 series and preceding generations of graphics chips. Due to its focus on the new Radeon RX 7000 series, the business has been unable to deliver fresh drivers for its earlier GPUs for the past two months.

According to Frank Azor, AMD's Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions & Marketing, the company is working on the new AMD Radeon drivers and aims to release them within the next two weeks. He added that there may be some delays and that they will provide another update as they get closer to the release date.

In December, AMD launched its Radeon RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX graphics cards, which had to be fixed for bugs that emerged with the new hardware for existing games. As a result, AMD had to assign many software engineers to support the hardware launch and drivers for its new RDNA 3-based products.

The shift in focus impacted the company's ability to release new drivers for its existing Radeon RX 6000-series graphics cards, which has not been updated since November, causing frustration for many graphics card owners as some AAA games have been unsuported ever since.
