AMD Radeon RX 5500 cards available starting December 12

AMD's Radeon RX 5500 graphics will become available in December. AMD has informed various AIB manufacturers internally that it is determined that the new AMD 5500 series graphics cards will be released on December 12, 2019.
The NAVI14 card series will be capable of keeping up with comparable to Nvidia's GTX 1650 Super, which is priced between 150 and 175 USD. The new RX5500 series products could even replace the RX580/RX590 series models.
- Stream processor: 1408
- Boost frequency / game frequency: 1670 MHz / 1845 MHz
- TBP (typical whole board power consumption): 150 W, single 8pin power supply
- Video memory: 4GB GDDR6, 14 Gbps, 128-bit
Both the suggested retail price and the release date of the Navi 14-based map have not yet been officially communicated, but according to a source from the Chinese ITHome, we don't have to wait long.

I don't know what AMD is doing man.
They were very slow to release information, and release-date about the card on purpose and it looks like they don't really want to release this card.
Why? Maybe they are targeting christmas?
This timing of release is very bad.
Nvidia has released all "super" versions already.
Besides that, how is this card replacing RX580 when it's slower, and has 4gb memory...
Iam actually very disappointed with AMD. Iam considering to buy GTX1650 Super

8gb is enough IMHO and its bandwidth, those are not 4k@60fps but 4k@30 gpus. Better efficiency and lower frame times smoother gameplay, VRR, hdmi 2.1, more tech needed. Xbox1X is more futureproof than "PC" Polaris.
I would rather have 580/590 with higher bandwidth and more vram. Im not worried about power.

For sure there is a better way to say what you want to say.

Ps : remember, overclocking and pc building is for people who want the absolute best bang for the buck aka cheap skates

most likely for every waffer spend on printing Navi gpu's is a waffer not spend printing Zen2 chiplets and if we consider the price the epyc cpus sell for and the yields AMD loosing money each time they produce navi ... well by loosing money i mean making less profit , so till the 7nm demand/production normalise it kinda makes sense they are not in a hurry to release more navi sku's

I am very interested in these cards as well after seeing what the 1650 super is capable of (being a great upgrade for those with a 1050 ti who want to stick with Nvidia)

What the hell you on. Its not AMDs fault you have been a cheap skate. Mining has been dead and prices have been solid for a long time now.
And when you can buy a RX 570 4GB for $120 new or less avg in your market, why you gonna be a giant ass cheap skate whiner. Not to mention, the 570 is nearly 2x faster and still a hella great 1080p card.
I don't live in the USA. You can still find RX570 here for over 300€, let alone the other boards!
And ya, some shops have rolled back to msrp prices, while in the USA they're almost giving them away (I would have bought a RX570 long ago for 100€ or so if they existed here).
Even second hand market is asking 250€ for a RX580, most certainly from mining...
I'm not going to pay msrp for a 2015 card. Call me cheap? I call it not supporting bad business practices.
I'll buy a card that performs and has a competitive price, if more people were like me we would not have 2080ti at 1500€.
PSA: the world is not just the USA.
PS: I bought Ryzen 2600 for around 130€ in August, its even cheaper now. I'd do the same with the RX570/580/590 if one of them had a decent price, but RX5500 consumes almost half the power and will probably be around the same performance for 200€.

When DF tested the xbox1x against rx580 in a red dead 2 they performed about the same with the same quality settings. Makes sense, becouse its the same gpu.

They are almost equal more cores shaders vs higher clocks. If only dgpu of pc could update vbios with more added features. That's the only positive of console at the moment. Vbios is integrated in firmware and os. Pc is abandoned in that aspect. Only drivers and it is already moved to Navi's perspective. Let's hope amd is gonna take lessons from Microsoft bigger corporation.

Yet cards with 4gb, 6gb, on lower bandwidth beat the polaris cards. More core processing power > high amounts of useless memory.

Even if the card cant utilize all 8gb it can atleast use more than 4gb. 1650S is slower than 580 and 1660 is using faster memory.

In some games yes it slower, in other it's faster. Strap an extra 4gb of vram on it and you wouldn't even see a difference.

guys, here are some rumours
https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-radeon-rx-5500-xt-launches-next-week-radeon-rx-5600-xt-in-january
looks like 5600 will NOT have the 128-bit width bus, 192-bit makes more sense, and more appealing to those who want to replace older Polaris, but not willing to shell out more than 250-300€ on a video card.

Looks like the 5600 XT could be a serious contender in the mid-range market.

Interesting. I still think card would be much better if it was 8/256 instead 6/192 if even it costs little more.

Not sure if this has been posted or not.
please don't, thanks.
If this is near the final product review, I'd say the 1650 Super still remains the budget king.
