AMD messes up another launch - 4870 X2

As you guys have noticed, there's a number of Radeon HD 4870 X2 reviews out on the web. Much like the Radeon HD 4800 release a lot of stuff seems to be going wrong within AMD. With the 4850 launch the press was not allowed to write about the product until a set date, yet actual products already where in the stores. Forcing AMD to lift the NDA (Non disclosure agreement) one day after the press got the product.

The Radeon 4870 launch had too little allocated samples and, the NDA was shifted forwards by two weeks.

Today a number websites posted pre/reviews on the Radeon HD 4870 X2. The interesting part here is yet merely last week I talked to board-partners and AMD regarding samples and the launch .. now AMD apparently lifted that NDA today. Now the actually launch of the new X2 products guys, is August 13th. So this morning when I woke up and noticed pre/reviews .. I was pretty surprised to see them.

It seems that communication within AMD is pretty bad at the moment as apparently nobody knows who's doing what. So again, once we get our sample, we'll start reviewing it. And let me show you the last communication we had with AMD, last Wednesday. This is getting silly, really:

Hi Hilbert,

Our sampling program will start end of July, where our top reviewers including you will get an AIB board, and have around a week to test and publish. I understand that you want to have as much runtime as possible, but I would like to ask you to hold on a bit longer
