AMD Mantle Performance review

It has been a long time coming but we take a look at early and initial Mantle performance. The upcoming 14.1 Beta driver will receive many improvements. At the simplest level, Mantle is an Application Programming Interface (API). In its current iteration, the Mantle API leverages the hardware in the Graphics Core Next architecture (GCN) of modern AMD Radeon.

Wow that's petty good.
I always look at any increase in frame rate no matter how "will it help go from unplayable to playable " and in this case it helps a lot for certain set ups.

Wow, some combos are being 60% increase. The increase with 3960 + 290 is negligible. I'd love to see 3960 + crossfire setup Hilbert, if possible.

Totally catered/altered and designed to show of Mantle, not an objective benchmark whatsoever.

Obviously, future engines will be written with mantle in mind. So it is relevant.
