AMD GPUOpen has arrived

AMD has created a developer website for its GPUOpen initiative. On the website devs can find open source SDKs and libraries for graphics cards and GPUs in APUs.

The GPUOpen Portal will provide developers access to open source content, blog posts and industry updates, with all of the open source content being hosted on GitHub. GPUOpen is divided into two groups, Games and CGI with SDKs and libraries. Then there's a profession sections for Pro Compute related matters with applications, tools and libraries for high performance GPU computing.

Everything is open Source and free to use as it is including copying, using and reselling. On the website you'll find source code for stuff like TressFX and ShadowFX as well as platform materials for virtual relaity development.

Is it though, really?

Just a webpage...lets see results first before claiming something is huge no?

I am thinking...and keeping an open mind. Yes it appears promising on paper but until there's results you can claim diddly squat.

And that' a fact. Not being down or anything just realistic/pragmatic.

Your initial title should be "amdguopen looks very promising indeed".

Smacks of fanboyism. Which no-one likes at all. Period.

I did not claim anything actually, just the fact that it is huge in the amount of stuff that it has.. well damn you went all pragmatic over nothing
