AMD Gaming Evolved program adds Alien: Isolation
A press release from AMD just arrived, they are announcing yet another AAA title to be part of their Gaming Evolved program. The good news for the AMD Gaming Evolved program rolls on today as we proudly join Creative Assembly in the launch of Alien: Isolation! Not only is this game getting fantastic critical ratings.
AMD and CA dug deep into this title to squeeze out a technical masterpiece of an engine chock full of state-of-the-art rendering effects, including:
- Deferred renderer
- HDAO+
- Real-time DirectCompute radiosity
- BC7 texture compression
- GPU-accelerated particle physics
- DirectCompute Contact Hardening Shadows
- Silhouette-enhancing tessellation
Gamers interested in acquiring a copy of Alien: Isolation can of course do so on Steam starting today and tomorrow (depending on their locality), but it’s also included for FREE in the Never Settle: Space Edition promotion! Gamers that purchase an AMD Radeon™ R9 Series product from participating retailer can choose Alien: Isolation as one of their three choices in the Radeon Gold Reward Tier.

"GPU-accelerated particle physics"
Did you hear that, Nvidia? That's how it should be done, not with your ****ty Phys-X!
But why no Mantle?
Because even AMD cpu can do 100+ fps i guess. Its really "lightweight" game, till you start downsampling ofc...

Yeah AMD CPU's are fine for Single Card solutions.
People bash em, of course Intel is faster, but as long as it's a Piledriver core, there is no problem running an AMD CPU in a gaming rig.
The only exception IMHO would be SLI/CFX. I would not even try with AMD personally.
Why those in a budget should not fear AMD especially at 1080p.
