If you have watched the AMD presentation, you will have noticed the mention of 8K monitors and DisplayPort 2.1. Scott Herkelman from AMD said on stage in Las Vegas that the first monitors with DisplayPort 2.1 would be out at least by the beginning of next year. 

You can expect models from Acer, Asus, Dell, LG, and Samsung. Samsung will launch the Odyssey Neo G9's, a new version should have an 8K UltraWide resolution next year. "First 8K UltraWide" is the name of the monitor we are talking about. In a footnote, it says that "8K" only refers to the resolution on the horizontal axis. So you can expect a width of about 8,000 pixels. It will not be 8K Ultra HD with 7,680 x 4,320 pixels, because that would be 16:9 and not an UltraWide format. The old Odyssey Neo G9 has a screen that is 49 inches and has 5,120 1,440 pixels ("5K") in a 32:9 format. In the same format, for example, the next phone could have 7,680 x 2,160 or 8,192 x 2,304 pixels, but this is still just a guess.

Also, an interesting observation, AMD's slides mention a DP 2.1 bandwidth of up-to 54 Gbps, but the full spec for Display Port mentions 80 Gbps.
