AMD confirms its affordable Radeon 7000 series graphics cards, set to hit the market before the end of June. The new line of GPUs will be priced more competitively, offering a more affordable alternative to the previously launched RX 7900 XT and XTX models.

This announcement follows a flurry of speculation surrounding the imminent release of the RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT models. The RX 7800 XT is expected to feature a Navi 32 GPU with 60 compute units, accompanied by 16GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit memory bus, and four mcd chiplets, amassing a total of 64MB of Infinity Cache. The total board power (tbp) is reported to be 285W. The RX 7700 XT, positioned as a more budget-friendly desktop graphics card, is set to incorporate a Navi 32 GPU with 54 CUs, 12GB of memory on a slightly narrower 192-bit memory bus, and three additional chiplets for a total of 48MB of Infinity Cache. The graphics card is projected to have a 225W tbp. The RX 7900 GPUs were introduced to the market late last year.

Despite reporting their first quarterly loss in several years, AMD remains optimistic about their financial performance. The company's sales reached $5.4 billion, a 9% decline from the previous year. The net income was -145 million euros, in stark contrast to the +786 million euros reported in the previous year. However, CEO Lisa Su remains positive, stating, "Our performance in the first quarter was commendable, with sales and quarterly earnings exceeding expectations in a challenging demand landscape."
