They're trying to clear those old FX processors out I think (wonders how many they've got.....). My good old FX6300 is still going and I still think it was underrated CPU - cheap and not unreasonable perfomance.
Same here. The main reason I want to upgrade is power efficiency and noise reduction. Also I think there are some bad latency issues that seem to cripple my VR experience. I'll still keep my FX when I upgrade - I have a special purpose in mind for it.
But yeah, I'm not sure why AMD wants to be drawing attention to these older products. Maybe they want to make as much money out of them as they can before they release the Ryzen 5 series; once those come out, nobody will ever have a reason to buy any AM3+ CPUs, and whatever price drop AMD puts them at will prevent a returning profit.

Im on FX-8320E since January, im thinking on move to RyZen after November or even wait for the 2nd gen, the first i want is a RX470 + FullHD FreeSync Monitor, all depends on my wallet lol
