AMD B550 pricing looks to be the same as B450
B550 pricing looks to be the same as B450, at least that's what early indications show. B550 is the budget chipset for the Ryzen 3000 platform.
Now the example posted by momomo_us, isn't the best one as really, there's nothing value or budget about the ROG Strix B550 series motherboards. But they are to be priced at 165 USD (once transferred to USD), as it seems. The prices leaked at Australian retailer ICIT.net.au. That's roughly the same as it was during release for the B450 counterparts, but the B450 are cheaper atm.
Remember the prices listed below are in AUD, availability is expected in the upcoming weeks.

Mb price have risen in the last five years like crazy .
Before that you could find a decent mb at 140 ... Now over 240 - 300 .
Guess we have to comply with them for this more and more expensive hobby of ours

I think it depends on the country. I got Strix B450-F for about the same price as the MSI B450 Tomahawk wich has piss-poor features compared to Strix
I never understood the whole deal with ASUS charging such a higher premium. Over-rated if you ask me.

If something's expensive, you don't buy it. It's the only thing we consumers can do.
